In 2006, The Leopold Management Group purchased The Leopold Retirement Community. As a Bellingham company whose owners are committed to preserving the Northwest’s architectural treasures, we felt compelled to find the opportunity to buy The Leopold and return the historic building to local ownership. We were pleased to finally make this happen and have vowed to maintain the building for perpetuity as a classically elegant retirement community.
Now, not only are we going to preserve The Leopold as a local architectural treasure but we are also nurturing strong connections with the community and have created opportunities for residents to participate in the arts and culture of Downtown Bellingham. Residents have the best of everything: beautiful and well-maintained apartments that range in size from studios to one and two-bedrooms and a diverse and rewarding active lifestyle, all for very affordable rates.
