| In 2006 The Leopold
was purchased by long time Bellingham residents, Robert K.
Hall, David H. Johnston, and Kane C. Hall. Committed to preserving
the Northwest's architectural treasures, the partners felt
compelled to find the opportunity to buy The Leopold and return
the historic building to local ownership. They are pleased
to finally be able to make this happen and have renewed the
vow to maintain the building for perpetuity as a classically
elegant retirement community. The Leopold is one of 20 buildings
owned by the partners, 10 of which are on the National Registry
of Historic Places.
Daylight Development is owned
by two partners, both raised in Bellingham, Washington.
